This policy explains what information DreamTube collects when you use the app, why, who we share it with, and how to delete it. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate — if anything here is unclear, use the Contact support form in Settings and ask.
DreamTube turns a written (or spoken, then transcribed) description of a dream into a short AI-generated video or image. You can optionally add details — a character, a camera angle, a time and place — and choose to keep the result private or publish it to the shared Explore feed for other users to see.
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Account information | Username, password, and (optional but recommended, so we can email you and so you can reset your password) email address. |
| Dream content | The text you type or record (recordings are transcribed to text) describing a dream, your chosen style, and any optional extras — camera angle, scene time/place, and characters (including a photo of yourself, if you add one — photos of other people aren't supported). |
| Payment information | If you buy a token pack, our payment processor, Dodo Payments, collects your card details directly — DreamTube's own servers never see or store your card number. We keep only your email, the amount purchased, and Dodo's payment reference. |
| Usage & analytics data | Standard product-analytics events (pages viewed, buttons tapped, funnel steps completed) and ad-conversion events, collected via PostHog and Meta (Pixel/Conversions API) — see "Who we share it with" below. Session-replay tools we use mask every text field's contents by default, including the dream-text field. |
| Support & feedback messages | Whatever you type into the Support/Feedback form in Settings, plus your username, email, and basic account context (how many videos you've made, how long you've had the account) so we can help you faster. |
What stays only on your device: your private dreams and saved characters live in this browser's local storage, not on our servers, unless and until you publish a dream to Explore (at which point the published dream and its caption become visible to other users and are stored server-side so they can see it) or delete your account. Clearing your browser's storage, or using a different device/browser, means that local-only data doesn't carry over — your account and username/password still do, since those are stored server-side.
We don't sell your information. We share it with the following vendors, each doing one specific job for us:
We keep your account, dreams, and token balance for as long as your account exists. Support messages are kept as a permanent record of what was said to us (like an email inbox — we don't retroactively delete a message just because the account that sent it is later deleted). Dodo Payments retains your billing/payment history independently of DreamTube, per standard payment-processor practice, even after you delete your DreamTube account.
If you're in a region with specific data-protection rights (for example GDPR in the EU/UK or CCPA in California), these same controls — deletion, export, and asking us questions — are how you exercise them here. Contact support if you need something this page doesn't cover.
DreamTube isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Uploading a photo of a child or teen for character generation isn't supported anywhere in the app, by design.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information described above, but no method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use DreamTube after a change means you accept the updated policy.
